Barker’s mom bought a drum kit for him when he was just 4 years old. Then Travis joined music classes the next year. Initially, he wanted to become a professional skater, but soon he realized that his drums were the best thing to express himself. Unfortunately, Travis’ mom Gloria died of Sjogren syndrome exactly before his first day at Fontana high school.

Travis Barker played in the bands after high school. Then he joined a ska-punk group named ‘The Aquabats’. The group was founded in 1996, by Feeble bandmate Chad Larson. Travis recorded one album with ‘The Aquabats’ group and in 1998, he became the permanent official drummer of the band.

In 1999, Barker’s first album with Blink-182, named “Enema of the State,” was released. The band was a hit including the singles “All The Small Things,” “What’s My Age Again?,” “Adam’s Song,” etc. The single “All the Small Things” hit No. one on the Modern Track chart. In 1999, the band started an Arena tour. Travis missed many dates of the tour due to his broken finger. In 2000, The video won an MTV Video Music Award.
